It’s Teaser Tuesday time again, the blog series where I tantalise you with snippets from works-in-progress, past and upcoming releases, and occasionally let writing buddies play around too.
Those who follow me on social media will know that last Friday I finished the first draft of my work-in-progress. I love finishing a book, it’s such a satisfying feeling and this one was especially enjoyable because I adore it so much. I’m going to be sad when it comes time to start my next story because that’ll mean leaving Patrick and Tash behind and falling in love with new characters. I don’t want to leave them. I want to stay in Patrick and Tash’s gorgeous world and play with them more. Nevermind. I’ll get over it … eventually.
So to celebrate the first draft of this untitled manuscript, here’s a wee sample. Enjoy!
Though she hadn’t offered, he followed her inside, piquing her temper even further. ‘No, please,’ she said in her archest tone, ‘come on in, why don’t you.’
It was Patrick’s turn to grin. Tash wished he hadn’t. She preferred him bad-tempered. Grinning showed off his dark-haired handsomeness, sparkling blue eyes and straight teeth. And the sod hadn’t shaved today, leaving his jaw sexily stubble flecked. Worse, he was wearing a pair of jeans that clung to his thighs and showed off his long legs. As for the rolled up sleeves of his shirt. Pa made it look good. Patrick made it look awesome.
She didn’t trust any of it. Smiling and looking sexy was one of those things that beautiful people did when they were determined to get their own way and were being thwarted.
