Teaser Tuesday MemeWelcome to Teaser Tuesday, where I share snippets from new and past releases, and works-in-progress, and occasionally twist the arms of author buddies to do the same.

First up, my apologies for the lack of Teaser Tuesday last week. I’ve been a bit under the weather with an inner ear problem and have had to limit my screen time significantly. Still working my way to a diagnosis so the blog might remain a bit hit and miss for a while.

The big news for today is that book one in the Outback Brides series. Maggie’s Run by Kelly Hunter has been chosen as an Amazon monthly deal for September. That means you can pick up this fab read (and it’s very fab indeed) for a bargain price. If you have yet to read any of the Outback Brides books, here’s your chance to dip your toes.

Obviously, we’d love you to read the whole series, but don’t worry of you want to pick and choose. All the books – Maggie’s Run by Kelly Hunter, Belle’s Secret by Victoria Purman, Elsa’s Stand by moi, and Holly’s Heart by Fiona McArthur – can be read as stand-alone stories.

Many of you have asked about sequels, with Serenity, the music-bombing beautician from Elsa’s Stand, being a popular choice to have her story told. I’m working on it. Well, not working as in writing, but I’m mentally plotting and scribbling down notes. A start!

Which is a good lead-in to this snippet, featuring Elsa, Jack and Serenity in Elsa’s salon Hair Affair.

‘This is Serenity,’ said Elsa. ‘She has the beauty rooms at the back. In case you’re wondering, she chooses her own hair colour. Nothing to do with me. I just apply the stuff.’

Elsa's Stand by Cathryn HeinSerenity grinned at him. ‘Nice to meet you at last, Jack. We’ve been discussing you in great detail.’

‘Serenity,’ warned Elsa.

She threw up her hands. ‘What?’

‘Go wax your toes or something. I need to talk to Jack.’

It was then that Jack realised Elsa still had hold of his hand. He looked at it, so delicate in his. Which was kind of funny. Elsa was anything but delicate. She was a steam train of sexy determination.

‘Alone, Serenity,’ said Elsa when Serenity remained behind the counter, her grin growing even broader.

‘Oh, all right,’ she huffed, before moving to stomp off. Suddenly she stopped, her focus on the street. ‘You might want to change your mind on that.’
