Teaser Tuesday MemeWelcome to Teaser Tuesday, the series where I share snippets from new and past releases and works-in-progress, and sometimes sweet-talk author buddies in to doing the same.

Yes, my lovelies, we’re baaaaaack!

And what a year we have ahead. The first Teaser Tuesday guests have already been booked so keep an eye out for those in coming weeks. I’ll be sharing snippets from my backlist, of course, but also occasionally short sneak peeks from my works-in-progress. Right now I’m writing Serenity’s Song (working title), an Outback Brides of Wirralong story and the sequel to Elsa’s Stand.

But in the next few weeks it’ll be all Scarlett and the Model Man. Why? Because it goes up for pre-order this week. Squeeeee!

I’ll be sending out a newsletter tomorrow with the cover, blurb and a preview of the entire first chapter, along with other news. If you’re not part of the cool team, join here.

I also have a few events coming up.

On February 29th, 2pm – 4pm, at I’ll be at Lakeview Café, Speers Point NSW, with regular Teaser Tuesday guest Fiona McArthur, along with Trish Morey and Jaye Ford, for Coffee, Cake and Contemporary Women’s Stories. Join us to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea and learn why we write women’s stories and why contemporary women’s stories matter. Details here.

And on Sunday, March 1st 09:30-10:30, I’ll be at Maitland Indie Festival, Maitland NSW, with Michelle Douglas and Jodi Perry discussing the ins and outs of indie romance publishing. More on that here.

Then the following week, we have the Australian Romantic Rendezvous at the Castlereagh Hotel, Sydney, Sunday 8th March 2020. This is a booksigning and reader event, featuring special international guests Darynda Jones and Susan Donovan, along with me and a line-up of your favourite local authors. Secure your tickets here.

Busy times ahead.

Now to our teaser, which you have already probably guessed is going to be from Scarlett and the Model Man. Rah!

Just a wee snippet, mind. Just like the cover, I don’t want to be revealing too much just yet.

This is from an early scene where Scarlett is having lunch with Audrey Wallace, aka Granny B, and lamenting her inability to find the perfect artist’s model.

.

‘What are you going to do if you don’t find him?’ asked Audrey as they readied to leave.

Scarlett and the Model Man partial cover reveal‘I don’t know.’ Scarlett stared at the street. ‘Paint another Crowns in the hope it’ll cancel the curse?’

‘The only curse is the fantasy one in your mind. I suggest you try the livestock exchange. Sales are every Wednesday. You’re bound to come across a dishy farmer or stock agent there.’

‘Maybe. Or maybe I’ll keep painting Jed. Not the same, but …’ She lifted her hands.

‘Oh, do stop the misery act. It’s very unbecoming.’ Perhaps realising she’d gone too far, she patted Scarlett’s shoulder. ‘Chin up. You’ll find your man soon.’

Scarlett hoped she was right. Time was running out.

.

Watch out for more on Scarlett and the Model Man soon!
