Welcome to Teaser Tuesday, where I share snippets from new and past releases and works-in-progress, and sometimes con author buddies into doing the same.
Can you believe that this time next week, Serenity’s Song will be out and live in the world?
I know! Only seven sleeps to go. Yay!
I can’t wait for you to read Serenity’s and Jesse’s story. It’s loaded with all the good things – humour, drama, and emotion. A story that I hope will leave you happy-sighing as you close the book.
A few things to keep an eye out for.
1/. The Serenity’s Song release day blog post, where I’ll be sharing secret things about the book and some playlists. Quite extensive playlists, but Serenity sure loves her music!
2/. On September 1st (Australian time), I’ll be stopping by the Tule Book Club on Facebook to celebrate Serenity’s Song’s release with some fun posts and maybe a giveaway or two. This will be seriously cool. Book yourself in here so you don’t miss out.
Right, on to our Teaser Tuesday, which is, of course, from Serenity’s Song!
Here’s a small excerpt from a scene when Jesse and Serenity are trapped in Wirralong’s secret underground cellars.
She stared back up the tunnel. ‘I can’t let you dig on your own. What if something happens?’
‘Then you’ll be safe.’ He smiled, showing confidence he didn’t really have. ‘I survived the first collapse okay and I was closest to the cave-in. Nine lives, like a cat. You don’t need to worry. I’ll be all right.’
‘I will worry,’ she said softly. ‘You know I will.’
She made it sound like she cared. He shook off the idea. Serenity tolerated him because of Elsa, and once they got out of this shithole and she realised whose fault this disaster had been, he’d lose even that.
