The day when we say hello to the first book in my new Cupid Country series has finally arrived.
Cupid Country Chance is now available (or will be very soon, depending on your time zone) for immediate download from your favourite ebook retailer. Whoop!
It’s very exciting and there will definitely be champagne popped later today.
As usual on release day, I’m celebrating by sharing secret things about the story and its writing. But first, those all-important links:

Everyone in town is talking about rural dating app Cupid Country and while schoolteacher Amber Dunn is curious, she’s careful of her sweet reputation. A fake dating name seems a good solution, until gorgeous farmer Tom Jones accepts a match.
Their attraction is instant. Tom is handsome, kind and funny, and clearly as hungry for Amber as she is for him. Protected by her fake name, Amber sets her inner seductress loose, and indulges in a night of passion so intense, it must mean more.
A happy future awaits, but when a simple mishap by Tom leaves Amber angry and heartbroken, it seems fate has other ideas.
Will Amber’s fake name cost her the man she loves? Or will Cupid help these lovers find each other again?

And now for…
Six Secret Things About Cupid Country Chance
1/. The story’s original title, before I decided on Cupid Country as the series name, was Me and Mr Jones. Romance author buddy Michelle Douglas came up with the idea and I thought it was a beauty. Alas, it wasn’t to be.
2/. I’d originally planned Me and Mr Jones as a short story freebie for newsletter subscribers, but as the rural dating app idea grew, I decided it would make a great opener for the series.
3/. Cupid Country Chance is the first insta-love story I’ve written. Fingers crossed I’ve done the trope justice!
4/. The theme song for Cupid Country Chance was “Goodbye to Yesterday” by Elina Born and Stig Rästa and was Estonia’s entry in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.
I’m hoping this year’s Eurovision (only two weeks away!) will provide another theme song.
5/. Civic Park fountain that Amber and Tom come across (and which also gets a mention in Cupid Country Challenge) is based on the 19th century Gardiner Fountain in my hometown of Mt Gambier. When I was a child, goldfish swam in its pond. I’m pretty sure they’ve been gone for years.
6/. Tom’s dogs, Elf and Roxy, were originally kelpies, but when the cover designer couldn’t find illustrated kelpies and used collies instead, I changed their breed to fit. Those cover dogs were just too cute to lose.
Aaannd a bonus …
This isn’t really a secret thing because it’s mentioned in the book, but the music video that Amber watches in the first chapter and inspires her to take a chance, is “Kiss Somebody” by Morgan Evans. It’s very sweet.
